Jo-Ann L. Schofield
Jo-Ann Schofield is the President and CEO of the RI Mentoring Partnership. A staff member since 1997, she has more than a decade of experience in mentoring, training and facilitation. Starting as Program Assistant in the Warwick Mentor Program, Jo-Ann has consistently grown with the organization holding many positions over the past 18 years. As President and CEO, she is responsible for the strategic direction of the Partnership, day-to-day operations including fiscal and grant management, as well as staff supervision. Jo-Ann is a lifelong learner and most recently earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Studies from Rhode Island College, learning best practices in everything from Strategic Planning and Fund Development to Governance and Compliance. Jo-Ann believes that mentoring is a pro-active solution for the problems of tomorrow. Working with today’s youth by providing responsible adult role models helps guide them to become social assets in their adulthood, rather than economic liabilities.
Jo-Ann’s enthusiasm and dedication can be seen in every aspect of her interactions with youth, staff, board members, donors, mentors and community members. Jo-Ann is an active member in the Warwick 13, a consortium of Warwick non-profit agencies and is Chair of the Mentoring Partnership Advisory Council for MENTOR: the National Mentoring Partnership.
