CUSTOMIZED TRAINING
Employer identifies:
* Hiring needs, timeframe, starting wage, and benefits
* Occupational and soft skill requirements for new hires
* Training content, provider, location, and duration
Program staff work with employer to:
* Develop program activities and timeframe
* Plan and coordinate recruitment, assessment, and
selection of candidates
* Determine funding support level (50-90%)
* Develop Customized Training Contract
Once contracted, customized program activities begin,
including:
* Posting the opportunity through netWORKri One Stop
Centers
* Recruiting candidates initiated
* Assessment, interviewing, and selection of training
candidates
* Implementation of the customized training program
components
* Employment of 100% of successfully-trained candidates.
ON THE JOB TRAINING (OJT)
Developed for one or two individuals at a time
Allows employers to train new hires when they cannot
find candidates with sufficient skills for the open
positions.
Potential employees are selected from netWORKri or
other source
Individual training plan/outline created by employer
* Outlines skills individual needs to learn to become
proficient in occupation they are training for
* Cannot exceed 6 months
Contract is developed between company and WPGRI
Company hires employee and provides training
WPGRI can reimburse up to 50% of employee/trainees
wages while in training
