The City of Warwick has instituted a new rapid emergency notification service called CodeRED®.  The new system will distribute emergency messages via telephone to targeted areas or the entire City of Warwick at a rate of 1,000 calls per minute.

CodeRED® employs a one-of-a-kind Internet mapping capability for geographic targeting of calls, coupled with a high speed telephone calling system capable of delivering customized pre-recorded emergency messages directly to homes and businesses, live individuals and answering machines.

Interested in Adoption / Foster Care?
An Adoption / Foster Care information night is held on the last  
Wednesday of every month at 650 Ten Rod Road, North 
Kingstown in the DYCF office.  The informational meeting begins 
at 6:30 p.m. and is an opportunity for anyone interested in either 
foster care or adoption to both receive information on the process 
and the training for adoption and foster care.  People from 
Adoption Rhode Island will be on hand. Call 401-528-3700 for more 
information.

Resources continue to be developed for the children who need to 
be in foster care so that they can stay in their hometown.  This 
allows them to keep the same friends and often the same schools 
while their parents and the Department of Children, Youth and 
Families work on the difficulties in the home.
