The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Greater Providence is officially returning in 2026, bringing back one of the region’s most inspiring community events in the fight against cancer. Relay For Life is a community-based fundraising event that supports the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission — funding cancer research, patient services, and advocacy.
At Relay:
* Teams walk or run in shifts to symbolize that cancer never stops.
* Survivors and caregivers are honored with a celebratory Survivor Lap.
* A Luminaria Ceremony lights the night in memory of loved ones lost and in honor of those still fighting.
* Teams fundraise through donations, sponsorships, and on-site activities.
* The event blends celebration, remembrance, and community spirit.
We encourage the community to create a team and fundraise, but the event is free and open to all, with no registration required to attend.
