Charlestown Memorial Day Parade

Parade Cancelled, Ceremony to take place at 1:00 PM rain or shine

“We understand this event is a meaningful tradition for many and appreciate everyone’s support and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our participants, volunteers, and community members,” Chairman and Parade Coordinator Heather Paliotta told 12 News.

The annual memorial ceremony at Cross Mills Cemetery will still take place at 1 p.m., rain or shine. The ceremony will include a color guard and rifle salute, and the public is encouraged to attend. The ceremony will be repeated at the Mill Pond Brook bridge and at the Charlestown Air Memorial in Ninigret Park.
