Memorial Day Weekend Flag Display In Honor Of Our Veterans

Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick, RI – A moving and solemn flag display honoring the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans will take place Saturday through Monday of Memorial weekend, May 23-25, 2026.

From 9 am – 5 pm each day, weather permitting, the casket flags of 300 deceased veterans laid to rest at Pawtuxet Memorial Park will be respectfully displayed throughout the grounds. Each flag represents a life dedicated to service and stands as a powerful reminder of the cost of freedom.

This beautiful and fitting tribute offers the community an opportunity to pause, reflect, and remember those who answered the call to serve.  The sign of hundreds of American flags displayed together creates a profound visual expression of gratitude, honor, and remembrance for all veterans – past and present.

Visitors are encouraged to walk the grounds, reflect quietly, and take a moment to honor the men and women whose sacrifices made our freedom possible.  This Memorial Day weekend display serves not only as a tribute to those buried at Pawtuxet Memorial Park, but also as a symbol of respect for all who have served our nation.

The public is welcome to attend and experience this meaningful Memorial Day observance that has been displayed for 63 years.
