Providence Children’s Museum Celebrates 49th Birthday with a
Free Day of Play Sponsored by Centreville Bank
Providence, RI – Providence Children’s Museum is celebrating its 49th birthday
with a Free Day of Play on Saturday, June 27, 2026, giving visitors the gift of
play at no cost thanks to the generous support of Centreville Bank.
On this special day, families are invited to enjoy all that the Museum has to
offer—free of charge—from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Children and their caregivers
can explore hands-on exhibits, participate in creative play, and discover the joy
of learning through play. Guests will also be able to enjoy a bubble party in our
garden and participate in a special magnet maker activity.
“Giving back to our communities is central to who we are. Supporting the Free
Day of Play reflects our commitment to strengthening the communities we
serve and investing in opportunities that make a real difference. Helping reduce
cost barriers is one way we can make these experiences more accessible for
local families” said Hal Horvat, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board,
Centreville Bank.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Centreville Bank to celebrate PCM’s 49th
birthday by opening our doors to the community for a free day of play,” said
Caroline Payson, Executive Director of Providence Children’s Museum. “We
look forward to welcoming families for a day filled with joy, exploration, and
memorable experiences.”
Visitors will enjoy full access to all of the museum’s beloved exhibits, including
Water Ways, ThinkSpace, Coming to Rhode Island, and the Children’s Garden.
This support is made possible by Centreville Bank, which invests in initiatives
that strengthen communities and expand access to opportunity. With an
established presence in Olneyville and a new downtown Providence location
set to open soon, Centreville Bank is proud to support opportunities that bring
people together and enhance the vibrancy of the city.
