Did You Know?
Free Flood Preparedness Materials Available at the
Central RI Chamber
“Before everything else,
getting ready is the secret of success.”
– Henry Ford
Flooding and the damage it
does are problems we wish we could ignore and hope will
never affect our properties. Small business owners and
home owners know as well as anyone, however, that we
cannot afford to ignore the dangers of flooding. With
so much at stake, we must do all we can to be prepared
for the inevitability of flooding. FEMA has provided
the Central Chamber with informational materials ranging
from how best to prepare your property to withstand a
flood to how to get aid for cleanup after flood damage.
These materials are available, free of charge to our
members, at our offices.
The knowledge of how to
react to the unforeseen can make all the difference
after a natural disaster. Please, come to the Chamber
during normal operating hours and pick up your packet
today. This information will help alleviate some of the
stress associated with the aftermath of flooding. By
educating yourself, you can ensure that you get the help
you need and deserve as quickly as possible. By being
prepared, you can guarantee that your business will be
able to get back on track faster than the competition
after a catastrophic event. By protecting your home,
you can ensure the safety, security, and comfort of your
family. Don’t fail to plan.
Information on what you can
do before, during, and after a flood is also available
online at
