Wave was originally established over 70 years ago as the Narragansett Electric Employees Federal Credit Union. In 2003 we merged with Hasbro Employees Federal Credit Union and in 2008 merged with Anchor Federal Credit Union, formerly Warwick Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union. Then in 2011 we merged with Cottrell Federal Credit Union headquartered in Westerly, RI. Wave today is a financially strong, community-chartered institution with almost 8,000 members, $107 million in assets, a commitment to personal service and some of the most attractive rates anywhere. We offer the complete range of products including online banking, financial planning, and surcharge-free ATM access. In fact, where most institutions will offer only one or two ATM networks, we have three (MoneyPass, SUM and CO-OP) in addition to the RI Credit Union ATM connection.

In 2008, Wave became one of the first Rhode Island Credit Unions to join the CU Service Centers Network, a shared network of credit union branches…extensions of Wave FCU … throughout the US and on Military bases overseas. Services include deposits and withdrawals, loan payments and loan advances, VISA and MasterCard advances and much more.
